2024 LOUISIANA LEGENDS FEST

POSTER CONTEST RULES

Poster Contest Deadline is August 20th, 2024.

Submission Guidelines:

* Artist must complete the full entry form.
* All submitted artwork must include the name, location, date and time of the festival, i.e.: Louisiana Legends Fest, Downtown Homer, LA, October 19th, 2024, 9 am - 6 pm.
* Eligible media include: acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings, printmaking, and digital art.

Awards: A cash award totaling $500 will be awarded to the winner of the contest. IMAGE PRESENTATION:

Artwork submitted must be no smaller than 9” x 12” 600 dpi digital and no larger than 16”x 20” canvas.

Digital Files: Digital files may be submitted on memory stick or a downloadable link.. Image files should be readable on PC platform and should be in TIF, JPG or JPEG equivalent. File names should not have spaces, punctuation marks, or non-English characters. Resolution files must be at least 300dpi.

Digital Prints (ink jet / laser, etc.) of work may be submitted up to 16” x 20”. If selected as the winning submission, you will be required to submit high resolution digital files for publication. Please label the back of each photo with the title of the artwork and your name, being careful not to damage the photo. We recommend using a stick-on label or felt-tip pen.

Submissions will be judged on their originality, creative integrity and overall capacity to embrace the essence of the annual Louisiana Legends Fest. (More information on Page __) Non-winning artwork will be displayed during the LLF, Artwork can be picked up at the LLF Headquarters tent after 3:30 pm. However, entrant provides that no reproduction shall be made with any association with the Louisiana Legends Fest.

The winning artwork becomes the sole property of Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest, and cannot be reproduced, or made available for sale except by permission of the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest. The LLF Poster Committee reserves the right to modify the winning design in accordance with the printing process will be used on posters, t-shirts, and promotional materials, as well as in advertisements and public service announcements for Louisiana Legends Fest.

LIMITATIONS:

Submissions must be the original work of the contestants and must not infringe upon third-party rights. Contest open to everyone 16 or older. LLF is not responsible for printing errors or inaccurate, forged, incomplete, stolen, lost, illegible, mutilated, damaged, tampered with, postage-due, misdirected, delayed or late submissions. Void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

PROCEDURES:

Submissions for the contest will be judged by individuals selected by the Louisiana Legends Fest on August 27, 2024. Winner will be notified by email and details will be posted on the LLF website LegendsFest.us and the LLF FB page. All responsibilities of a minor will be assumed by the parent/legal guardian.

RESERVATIONS:

Each participant by entering the contest agrees: (1) to be bound by these rules and the judge’s decisions; (2) that winning participant grants to the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest and assigns the unconditional right to use winner’s name, artwork, photograph, story, prize information and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law; and (3) that none of the entities, nor any of the officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives are responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation in or the acceptance, use misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of any prize or the publication of the winning submission. Each contestant by entering the contest agrees: (1) that contestant irrevocably assigns and transfers to the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest and its assigns all rights in the submission, including, without limitation, all copyrights; (2) that the Submission will not be returned; and (3) that Contestant grants to the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest and its assigns the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such Submission in any way and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration or acknowledgment to the contestant. Notwithstanding the above, the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest claims no ownership of the design of any unpublished submission. Each entrant by entering the contest agrees that the Entry becomes the Claiborne Unite Foundation dba Louisiana Legends Fest property and will not be returned. Deadline is August 20th , 2024.

Entries may be mailed to: LLF, P O Box 83, Homer, LA 71040 or emailed to LaLegendsFest@gmail.com. Entries can also be dropped off at Michael’s Mens Store & Sporting Goods, 515 West Main, Homer, LA. Entry form must be included. (All entries submitted via mail, drop off or email will substantiate that you accept all contest policies stated above.)
